Climate modelling is similar to Procrustes' iron bed. In Greek mythology, Procrustes was a rogue smith and bandit who waylaid weary travelers offering them hospitality and a bed for the night. Unfortunately, his bed came with a deadly requirement in that the guest had to perfectly fit its length. If the traveler was too short, they were racked and stretched until they fit. If too long, any protruding parts were hacked off.

If one tortures the data long enough, anything can be forced into a model but models are not facts.

It doesn't matter whether the claims of "man-made climate change" are objectively false, as long as people can be made to *believe they are true* long enough to achieve the desired political and financial objectives.

All such pseudo-scientific "studies", whether the subject is climate or pandemics or nuclear war, are prone to manipulation and deception, especially with sufficient incentives to reward the academic "team players" and stifle the critics.
